Does your child love reading and want to talk about books with other kids their age? Do you want your child to become excited about reading? Consider signing them up for a Book Chat! Fun Book Club for Kids will meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month at 4:30pm in the Children's Library. This month's selection is "Sideways Stories from the Wayside School" by Louis Sachar. There are plenty of extra copies available at the circulation desk in the Children's Library. These chats will be gauged for 2nd to 4th graders and parents are welcome to join in on the fun! Call or message the library to sign your reader up for book club or if you have any questions!

You’re invited to join us for an annual Ashby tradition. The 30th Annual Pumpkin Festival & Craft Fair is almost here. Mark your calendars for September 25, 2021 from 10am-4pm! Spend the day enjoying family fun activities and shopping at The Ashby Common! There will be live entertainment throughout the day, concession and craft vendors, games and activities for children, a pumpkin decoration contest, a tractor parade, Friends of the Library Book Sale, and more! For information on reserving vendor space, please email: friendsofashbylibrary@gmail.com The Friends of the Ashby Free Public Library are a non-profit group of volunteers working together with local businesses and crafters to make this annual festival possible and who also support and fund the Library's educational needs. All off the proceeds from the festival support the educational programs at the Ashby Free Public Library.
